What is E-Paper?

E-Paper is the exact digital replica of the printed newspaper. You will find all the stories, images, advertisements placed in the same position like in printed edition of the paper.

 

What are the advantages/benefits of DNA E-Paper?

DNA E-Paper offers you the exact print edition in digital format. If you are travelling or if DNA is not published from your city, you can still read the newspaper online. All the six editions currently published are available as E-Paper. You get to read all the editions of DNA on a single site. Some additional features like access to archives, commenting on article, mailing, saving copy etc are also possible.

 

How are sections/content organized?

The Contents Panel will show you the sections published for the selected date for the selected edition. A mouse over on a section will show pages for that section and article titles.

 

You can select the edition of your choice, DNA- Mumbai/ Ahmedabad/ Pune/ Jaipur/ Bangalore/ Indore from Editions dropdown

Once an edition is selected, all supplements of that edition will be displayed in Supplements dropdown

Click on any supplement will show you the latest issue of that supplement

 

Can I see/read/access earlier editions?

Yes. You can access past 7 days of all editions for free. On registration Archives of past one year become accessible for free. Access to Archives beyond 1 year is possible, but on a paid subscription.

 

How do I register to DNA E-Paper?

It’s very simple. Click on ‘Login Option’ on the top panel.

Then click on New Member Sign up

Fill in the registration form

You will receive an Account Activation link in your email. Click on it to activate your account.

 

How do I subscribe to access DNA Archives beyond one year?

To subscribe to Archives, first you need to be a registered member.

Follow registration process as given above

Then click on Subscribe to Archives option at the bottom panel.

Select your subscription option from below

 

Monday to Sunday- 3/6/12 months (Access issues of all 7 days of the week)

Monday to Saturday- 3/6/12 months (Access only Monday-Saturday issues)

Only Sunday- 3/6/12 months (Access only Sunday issues)

 

Fill the additional details as required.

Pay Online/Offline as per your convenience.

You will receive an Invoice in your mailbox

Before activating your Archives subscription and accepting your payment (in case of Online payment), we ask you for your confirmation

 

What special features does DNA E-Paper provide?

Many special features have been added to enhance your e-reading experience. Look out for the icons placed on the top of the page/window. A few are elaborated below.

See all photographs/advertisements  

Photographs/advertisements can be viewed together in Photo Gallery and  Advertisement Gallery

 

By default it will show you photographs/advertisements of the particular supplement/section you have already selected. You can switch edition, supplement and date as required.

 

Here page number means page number of the newspaper and paging means continuous pagination for the search results

 

See all pages

Go to Page Gallery. Here you can select edition, supplement and date.

 

Save my favourite articles 

Click on article then click on ‘Add Clippings’ option- . You can view these clippings later simply by clicking on ‘My Clippings’ option

 

Share articles/images

You can share an article or an image on social networking platforms like Facebook, Digg, Twitter, LinkedIn etc by clicking on the icon- . Emailing an article or image is also possible. You can also rate an article by clicking on the stars at the bottom of a story.

 

How do I search for an article/image?

Simple Search- Key in your search term in the search box. This will be a word search in full-text of the article. If you are logged in to the site, it will search from the records of past one year. If you are not logged in, it will search for last seven days.This search will search within an edition you have already seleted. To search across editions, you need to go to the Advanced Search.

 

Advanced Search- You can use the ‘Advanced Search’ option to refine your search. Just click on the icon-  near the search box of simple search. Here you can refine search by making a combination of- search term, date range, edition, supplement, Headline/Author/Fullstory/Advertisement/Photo Caption.

 

These search results can further be sorted by date or headline.

 

What is MY DNA?

You can create a personalised copy of DNA as per your preferences of sections and supplements that you wish to read everyday. Maximum 6 selections from any one edition of your choice. This selection will be displayed as a default selection when you Login to DNA E-Paper anytime thereafter. You can change your selection at any time

 

How do I receive daily updates by mail?

DNA E-Paper Newsletter provides a list of the top headlines from all the DNA editions in your mailbox every morning. This is a free service. When you register to DNA E-Paper this service is enabled automatically.

In case you did not opt for this service at registration, you can still start this service by modifying your ‘My Account’ profile.

 

How do I stop receiving DNA E-Paper Newsletter

You can unsubscribe this service anytime by clicking on ‘Unsubscribe this Newsletter’ option in the Newsletter or by de-selecting ‘Newsletter’ in ‘My Account’

 

What is the difference between Subscribe to Archives and Subscribe to Newspaper?

Subscribe to Archives will provide you online access to the digital archives of all DNA editions from August 2009.

Subscribe to Newspaper enables you to subscribe to DNA newspaper - print edition

DNA copyright stories and images are available for reproduction on DNA’s content licensing site- www.dnasyndication.com.

 

What is RSS?

RSS is Really Simple Syndication. It is an XML-based format in which content from http://epaper.dnaindia.net  is delivered to RSS news readers. We use RSS 2.0. You will receive all the news from DNA E-Paper on the RSS link. Headline plus first 100 characters are provided. This RSS service is limited to personal use.

 

RSS for Commercial use licensing is available on DNA Syndication- Headline+ Feed.
